Media Anchoring

Media Anchoring

This setting allows you to anchor (proxy) the media of calls through the Peeredge Platform. This feature is useful for media topology hiding or going through firewalls.

The new Peeredge supports on-demand transcoding for media anchored calls. If the SBC determines that there is not a suitable codec negotiation on anchored calls, the system will automatically negotiate the suitable originating and terminating codec and transcode the session.
